Guidance, Support and Inspiration as Year 11 Look to the Future
Year 11 considered their next steps during a Careers Day, and then were joined by parents for a Revision Evening designed to help every student reach their full potential.
The day began with an opportunity to explore the school's new online career programme Unifrog, and complete activities to help them consider where they might look to go after Year 11.
For the rest of the morning, the students were lucky enough to be able to speak to representatives of many professions including:
- Air Traffic Control
- Information Technology
- Social Care
- Local Government
In the afternoon, students had the opportunity to explore their Post-16 options with a Sixth Form Fair attended by representatives of 11 local providers.
Later in the evening, students were invited to return to school with their parents to attend a workshop designed to empower all of out young people to achieve their full potential in their GCSEs. As well as receiving information about examination dates and how the brain can work most efficiently, parents and students took part in a Kahoot interactive quiz and explored different revision techniques which have proven impact.
A huge thanks to everyone who participated or gave their time and resources to making this a very successful event.
